Brave Darth Vader Strikes Again

Is Dick Cheney really Darth Vader? Or is he in reality a brave man?
What is bravery?
Is Obama brave?
Is Wanda Sykes Brave?
Is the leftist press media brave?
"Bravery is courageous behavior or character."
Have the Marxist bullies of the Obama administration exhibited bravery as they threaten the CEOs of banks and auto makers into deals they cannot refuse?
Have the socialist Congress with Nancy Pelosi at the helm, exhibited bravery as they lie repeatedly to the American people? What do they care? The American people do absolutely nothing about it even when caught in a brazen bald-faced lie as our esteemed House Speaker has been, again.
Did our leftist press media exhibit any bravery at all as they fawned, drooled, and shivered over Barack Obama, never analyzing his shameless lies and associations with thugs and criminals and terrorists during the campaign? And they are even worse today. But then there's Sarah Palin, well now, she was a different story. Our brave media did more than question Palin, they openly sought to destroy her children. Well you know, Barack has been redefining our language so who knows, maybe that was the new definition of bravery.
Are the food nazis brave as they seek to control our very digestive system?
Are the environmental extremists brave as they control our lives with lies about global warming even when it is May and we are still freezing our butts off?
And of course we all know how very brave the animal rights activists are as they destroy property and seek to prohibit what we eat.
But let's not forget the bravery of Obama's real friends. You know, like Jeremiah Wright, a minister that from the pulpit prays for the destruction of this country. The same country that he has a million dollar home in. Yes it has been very hard for Jerry.
How about William Ayers. It is quite fashionable to be seen with him these days. Maybe the left thinks he was brave to set off the bomb at the Pentagon, what with Obama's new definitions.
About the only ones we know for sure that aren't brave are the right wing extremists. The Conservatives, that for some inexplicable reason will not kill their children but believe in defending this country. They are trash, evil and it is the Obama policy to mock and ridicule and write National Policy papers on their supposed criminality. The public must be warned and protected against these scary people after all.

Are the Islamic terrorists brave? Does Obama think so? Is he sympathetic to their cause?
It looks that way.
But then there is Dick Cheney. Remember the definition: Bravery is courageous behavior or character.
It wasn't enough to defame him for eight years with lies, while the country slept safely. Remember after 9/11 how everyone was questioning, how could it have happened? Whose fault is it? And the grand commission got started to find the answer. Jamie Gorelik was on that commission. She is a major player in causing 9/11 to happen, by her 'wall of secrecy' policies that hamstrung the FBI and CIA. She is also one of the scoundrels involved in the housing crisis. How was this possible? She should have been prosecuted, not made an investigator.
But then the Bush administration did put policies in place to keep this nation safe and we were. While numerous other countries were under assault we were not. Until now. Barack Obama is dismantling the safety apparatus and that's just fine with the 'brave' left.
But it is not for Dick Cheney. He knows what is going on behind the scenes, the plans of those that want to destroy us. And in the face of more vituperation from the left he is still sounding an alarm bell. Will we listen or continue to mock those that do listen, like Rush Limbaugh. He is fair game for the 'brave' left. Listen to how Wanda Sykes compared Limbaugh to the 20th hijacker on 9/11. The Islamic terrorist hijackers killed over 3000 people, and because Limbaugh believes in the Conservative American Republic of Thomas Jefferson, Sykes compares him to a terrorist. What a gem. What a mouth. The left is simply incapable of logically defending their positions without resorting to defaming the character and looks of a supposed opponent.
Cheney is not the devil incarnate. But neither he nor Limbaugh are drinking the 'it's all good' kool aid of Barack Obama either. But then, they are very evil people you know, the 'good' leftist press tells us that regularly, so it must be true. Or is it? Are you comfortable believing they are telling you the truth? Are you comfortable with our Dear Leader extending a placating hand and to terrorists and at the same time dismantling our security procedures? Dick Cheney is being massacred in the press worse than before. So why is he doing this? Why not go away quietly?
Because bravery is courageous behavior or character. Cheney loves America and doesn't care who hates him. He knows there is a cancer called Islamic terrorism that will kill us. We don't need a doctor that wants to sit down and talk to the cancer. We need a prescription to fight the sucker.
Dick Cheney is exhibiting bravery and something else too. He is exhibiting what the Scriptures call being a neighbor. He is willing to sacrifice himself for the same citizens that want to destroy him. Obama is not a good neighbor to the American citizens, and neither are his fawning spokesmen. Is there anything Obama and his administration would sacrifice themselves for?

Terrorists and the Unreal American World

How about the terrorism in India?
In a short while we Americans will not be able to stand up to terrorists at all.
Why?
Because of our politically correct society. Because of our 'everyone is a winner' society. Because of our 'we gotta be positive' society. Because of our 'don't be negative' society. Because of our 'we are all good inside' society. Because of our 'let's have a dialogue' society. Oh yeah, Obama likes that one.
We have even taught our children that they don't have to, in reality, work for anything. Everyone will pass, everyone is good in heart, let's all just be nice. As long as no one feels bad.
And why did we vote the way that we did? Obama made us feel good that's why.
The same thing is happening in American Evangelical churches. Where are the sermons on our sin and our need for forgiveness? They're gone. Just too negative, and any way, we know that stuff already. We will only go to the churches that make us feel good, happy. Nothing like whooping it up, or even better, swooning, under a crucifix, or stage, makes no difference. So, for decades, those negative sermons have been replaced with sermons on bettering ourselves. At least, better than we used to be. Sin? We don't sin anymore. We are the improved model. We may make mistakes and need some work, but look at how good we are now that we 'let' Jesus come into our hearts. He must be so happy to have been granted our permission. If only everyone was like us. We are all so righteous. Obama even said he had a righteous wind at his back. Yeah, right. His arrogance is stunning.
And thanks to our stellar education community, we have now produced a positive but mindless population that is trapped in a world that doesn't exist. Ipods, video games, and the best of all these days is social networking, where we can be all we want to be and more. It doesn't matter if it's true or not, look at all of the friends we've got. "They like me, they really, really like me." But would your mother know you?
It's just not the real world.
What is real is that mankind is not good. It's not good at all. It's sinful. It's as sinful today as it was in Hitler's time, the Civil War, the Roman Empire, the Babylonian Empire, Sodom and Gomorrah. We are as sinful as we have ever been, we just dress nicer, and we have phonier smiles (brighter though, thanks to modern dentistry), and unreal personalities to exchange online.
But the terrorists of the world are more honest. They don't have a phony world. They hate and they're honest about it. They don't have any real reasons why they hate, they don't need them. Their excuses for why they hate fly about like a drowning man flailing his arms. Their excuses run the gamut. But none of them matter because their overriding impulse is just plain old hate, it's just that simple.
We Americans keep trying to pretend to each other that we are good and that we can fix all evil. We are so good (look at all of our self-help books for proof), that we can train and teach people how loving and good it is to be mindless. To have a true opinion, and express it, is to be mean-spirited.
Our own president-elect is trapped in a Blackberry world. He speaks regularly of an unreal world, which is also how he won the election. What was his platform? As far as I can tell it was two 'words'. Hope and change. But since our electorate is so gifted in imagination these days, they could put into those words any meaning they wanted. Why, one woman assumed that the election of Barack Obama meant that she would have her gas tank filled and paid for. And PRESTO! Magic Man Obama will be at her house every morning pumping her gas.
Yeah, crazy!
We as a society have rejected every close encounter that we've ever had with truth. Truth has caused way too many detours from our desired reality. But the truth is, we can dress up our bodies and personalities all we want, we are still sinners, not good people. And we should not protect our children from the truth either. They are not all winners. They better do the hard work of studying, or fail. And so what if someone is mean to them. They should learn to stop whining and continue on doing what they are supposed to do. We have unfortunately created a society that thinks it can prevent all bad feelings. As if we can outlaw ourselves away.
The terrorists see us as ripe for the pickings simply because we teach and believe that everything is beautiful. "Why, we should sit down with these terrorists and have tea with them and talk about what we have done to them to make them so angry at us." And Obama has given this impression. Somehow I know their anger is all America's fault and especially the fault of that very evil Bush, he's the devil, you know.
In our unreal world it is unnatural to feel anything but good. So if we are depressed and feel bad we see a psychiatrist that will tell us we are not bad people at all, but really good people, and then prescribe drugs to make us believe it.
But what we really need is a faithful pastor to tell us that we really are far worse than we could possibly imagine. We don't need a pile of lies about our mythical goodness. We need forgiveness for our sins. We need pastors to stop giving out phony sermons about the great ability we have to make 'God' happy. I am sure there is a trap door under many pulpits, in far too many churches, with an elevator that goes straight to hell. These pastors should repent of their sin of preaching sermons that trick people, delude people into thinking God approves of them. These ministers are seeking to take many to hell with them. They steal money and they steal souls.
But what should they preach? They need to give out the 'Goods'. What are the 'Goods'? They need to be giving out the forgiveness of sins to very bad, broken, sinful people. The Son of God came down from Heaven to save us from our sins. This forgiveness is delivered every time 'Christ crucified for sinners' is preached. They need to call us out of our phony, unreal 'good' worlds, to a real world. A painful world to be sure, but one where sinners are forgiven and serve other sinners as sinners. Where we teach our children that everything is not beautiful. Where we may work hard and still fail. And those that fail are not forsaken by God. Sounds a lot different from the slight of hand that is passing for Christianity today, doesn't it? May God have mercy on those that torment His people with work programs for salvation that can not be done.
We can create as many escapist video toys as we want, as many new classes to bring out our hidden goodness and potential greatness as we want, hear as many sermons on how God speaks to 'me' directly and wants me to succeed (for the right price) as we want, it's all fake, nonexistent, imaginary. The truth is, we are so 'good' that we all get to die. And if pastors were preaching the forgiveness of sins to our broken family and friends, we would have hope in the goodness of 'Christ' and hope in the resurrection of the dead and the hope of the life of the world to come. And then we would continue serving our neighbors with forgiveness, in a terrorizing world, but dealing with the truth.
The truth is, it's bad, but we are forgiven, by our Father in heaven, for Christ's saker.
